My Journey

2017

I dropped out of high school and started attending community college at De Anza College, where I had my first real experiences with programming

2018

Because my family moved, I transferred colleges, and none of my credits transferred :(

2020

I was NOT enjoying remote only classes, so I took a break. Context if you're from the future. (It continued for nearly a year)

2021

I develop some .NET form apps for internal use at Schmeade (Now Sierra Thermal). Despite getting some practical experience, I finish up my courses required for transfer to a 4 year college. Sierra Thermal

2022

I decided to attend a full stack web dev bootcamp at General Assembly, because I wanted more practical skills. General Assembly

2023

I accepted an early transfer admission which had me start in winter quarter at UCSC. Atypical, but I don't regret it.

2023

I enjoyed my time here. I threw myself into academics, and I was successful enough to be paid as a tutor for several classes. I took on what was considered a very busy schedule, but I liked having stuff to do.

2023

In addition to classes and tutoring, I competed at ICPC, joined many clubs including SlugSec, the cyber security club, and non academic things like played in the esports intramurals. Check out our achievements!

2023

I joined my favorite professor's research project, Playable Quotes! Initially I worked on things like adding controller support to the web interface so you can play the games on more authentic hardware. It's really cool, you should take a peek :)

2024

Playable Quotes creates what we are calling QuoteKit, an SDK to make our project more accessible to others. I'm currently acting as project manager and a developer for the tools. Quote Kit wiki

2024

I graduate from UCSC in June.
